About
I’m Lara, the founder and stylist behind Liv & bloom, a creative studio based in the Greater Montreal area in Canada, offering product and interior styling as well as content creation services.
I am a multi-passionate creative with experience in various industries and fields. I have a background in marketing + communications and have worked for over 20 years in the corporate world. When I launched my first company in 2017, I spent a lot of time styling products and found that this is one of the things I really enjoyed doing. In 2020, as we renovated, DIYed and styled our second home, I decided to make a shift by starting a blog and helping people create beautiful spaces in their homes with my interior styling services.
I have a strong passion for design, aesthetics and photography. With all my home projects that I worked on, I learnt to create beautiful spaces and moments and capture them to tell their own unique story which has led me to be featured on HGTV Canada. I believe in creating intentional spaces that reflect one's unique personality and makes them feel good at home.
In my spare time I enjoy cooking (and "pretty plating", because even placing food on a plate is an opportunity to design something beautiful!), listening to classic rock on my antique mid century record player cabinet, and collecting art and photography books including works by some of my favorites Slim Aarons, Salvador Dali and Frida Khalo. I live in NJ with my fiancé Ryan and pup Maple Bacon.
About
I like to approach design and styling in a very personal manner. We all have different needs, and I believe that design is an expression of who we are, that's what a home should reflect. I love working with people by understanding what is unique to them, what moves them, what sweet memories and needs they have, and work from this to create spaces that reflect who they are. Design is like a form of art to me and there is no one size fits all or a single style that applies everywhere.

STYLE: minimal, Scandic-vintage, boho, mid-century and modern styles
COLOR PALETTES: Neutrals are my favorite because they make up a good base to create diverse spaces that are cozy and soothing.
